Autocross Rules and Regulations

  • Events are held at Nassau Coliseum.
    There MAY be a parking fee if you arrive late and lot security has opened the booths so arrive early!
  • The registration fee is $tbd for BMW CCA members. Non-members are $tbd for their first event (which includes a 1 year club membership) then $tbd for the remainder of the year.
  • All drivers must hold a valid drivers license and be at least 18 years old to participate.
  • A Snell 2010 or later helmet is required. - 2005 Helmets will not be permitted.
    If you are buying a new helmet, look for a Snell 2015 rated model.
  • CAR CLASSIFICATIONS: Click here to view the current Autocross Classification Form.
  • Convertibles are allowed, with or without a roof.
  • X-Series SAVs are the only SUV/Trucks allowed.
  • Only instructors may take passengers.
  • The autocross will run rain, shine or snow. Participants of previous events can attest to this. We have a great time in torrential downpours.
  • Registration and tech inspection is from 8:00am - 9:00am on the day of the event.
  • First car off by 10am. Everyone will get eight or more runs and we hope to finish by 4pm.
  • All Series Championship winners will be awarded with special trophies at our annual holiday banquet.
  • Season Championship Specific Rules
    To qualify for the championship series, you must participate in at least 5 events in the same class.
    Participation means you must work both of your assignment sessions and make one successful run in each driving heat. Failing to meet this requirement forfeits your points for the event.
    Points from different classes will not be combined.
